The easiest way to get refills on prescriptions is to call your pharmacy where you last had it filled. Even when there are no refills remaining, you can request a refill from your pharmacy. In this situation they will contact our Lawrenceville office for authorization. At your request, most pharmacies now have the capability of letting you know when your refill is ready for pick-up or mailing by calling you, E-mailing you, or sending you a text message.
The Georgia State Medical Board requires that we maintain a proper doctor patient relationship in order to grant refills on regular medications. Therefore, prescription refills are only possible for those patients who keep their regularly scheduled internal medicine appointments. In no case can refills be granted if it has been more than one year since your last appointment.
